Things to remember when you begin the search for your wedding gown!

 

Choose a date!

Its most important to have already chosen your date, that way your Bridal Stylist can make sure to get your gown in time! Most designers take about 4-6 months to recreate a gown in your size.

Price Point!

There are beautiful gowns at all price points so make sure to have discussed budget prior to your consultation with the appropriate people. This will ensure you find a gown you love at a price you love.

Keep an open mind!

Your stylist may have suggestions for you that you never considered before. Its important to try a variety of styles, you might surprise yourself!

Entourage!

In terms of shopping companions, choose few and choose wisely. Too many opinions may confuse you and can lead to an unpleasant experience. Its not uncommon to find your gown on your first visit, so make sure the people who matter most are present.

The sole designer of the fashion house is Idan Cohen. Idan founded his namesake brand in 2012.

The israeli designer Idan Cohen was born to a family of fashion.
As a child he wondered the factory of the family’s Denim brand and dream of an international fashion brand of himself.

After becoming the company’s creative director, he realized his passion is in bridal gowns and evening wear.
Idan went on to study at the London prestigious fashion school Marangoni.
After graduating he came back to Israel and in 2011 opened up his own studio, that rapidly became a success.

Today, 4 years later, the studio has moved to a 4000 square feet store at the fashionable neighborhood of Neve Tzedek in Tel Aviv.
Idan Cohen has made a Name for himself with his special unexpected designs. Television hit shows, like the Housewives of Tel Aviv, has chosen him to design for their stars and many celebrities wear his designs, for their special events and their high profile weddings.
All the designs are meticulously hand sewn at the brand’s workshop and in prestigious factories throughout the world. Idan Cohen fulfills the dreams of his clients and caters to all their needs and desires.

Debra has been with us for 20 years and her designs just keep getting more gorgeous! We met with her to get some input and advice on how to make your bridal look unique, take a look at what she said!

“After greeting a bride, I first notice the shape of the wedding gown itself. Then I pay close attention to the particular details of the dress.  My first goal is to compliment the overall look of the bride while wearing her dress. I consider specific design lines and details especially on the back of the gown when determining which veil length will be most flattering. 

In many cases, the best option is a sheer, understated floor length veil that will give a continuous flow to the 

ensemble.  This way, there is no cut off point, nothing to pull the eye away from the features of the dress or from the brides figure.  Beyond the length and shape of the veil, the possibility of adding custom details such as matching lace or beading is discussed. I am quite fond of a hint of matching detail to truly gel a bridal look together. If not on the veil, then in a decorative hairpiece that remains on after the veil has been removed for the reception. I believe that wearing a headpiece that compliments the wedding gown is the perfect way for the bride to feel polished and put together throughout the evening.”

What started as a family business would later grow to become Pronovias. In 1964, when Alberto Palatchi Ribera joined, the company pioneered the creation of the first prêt-à-porter bridal fashions, a revolution at the time, which made wedding dresses accessible to all women.
